Organic Coconut Oil? Anyone prepare home cooked meals in Organic Coconut Oil?? I am watching a show on tv showing how to homecook our fur butts and she sauted in this oil. Just curious if anyone uses? or know anything about it? |
Yes I did and do when I cook things for them. I have read that Extra Virgin Olive Oil has wonderful benefits - but it has to be raw. Once it is used for heat/cooking...no more benefits. However, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil will still carry the same benefits when used in heat/cooking ;) |
ahhhh makes sense. Thanks for the reply I may just have to pick some up. I am wondering could this coconut oil be used to cooks their eggs in? They get scrambles eggs like once or twice a week. |
OH YEEESSSS.... Scrambled Eggs is EXACTLY what I used to cook for them with a little of the Coconut Oil = YUMMY :p |
Yes, it has to be unrefined coconut oil, and it is very beneficial, and it's safe to cook at medium high temperatures...Other oils like canola or vegetable or corn oils are no longer good for you when you bring them up to a high temperature. They cause free radicals. |
Where do you get it? And what show was it? Sounds interesting! :) |
