foods that build strong bones??? since maggie's leg is broken, and now we know it requires surgery, I have been wondering if there are some foods that would help encourage strong, healthy bones for our doggies. anyone know of anything???? |

I give mine 1 to 2 tablesoons. You probably cant over due it with her she can use the extra calcium she can get. My son was a hockey player and he broke his clavicle a couple of times and I always feed him foods high in calcium and he healed just fine. I am sure Maggie will too |

Try mixing plain yogurt or cottage cheese with kibble or with a little fruit. My furgirls love cottage cheese with a tablespoon or so of banana or peeled peaches! It's their before dinner snack sometimes, or their "lunch" on the weekend :) |
You may also want to supplement with Solid Gold Bone Meal (mixed into food). |
Why don't you consider starting a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement. It will aid in her healing and strengthen the bone. |
Add raw chicken feet to her diet - a natural, easily digestible source of glucosamine and chondroitin. |
