lip flicking? Hi, I'm new here and I love it! I figure this is the best place to ask about this: my 2 year old Baby Jasper (6.5 lbs) sometimes goes into a "lip flicking mode," as if he's trying to catch a fly with his tongue like a frog! He'll do it for 5-10 minutes and can't be calmed. Normally he loves to lick my fingers, but he won't even do that when he's in this mode. Anybody else experience this? Any idea of what it could br from? He's healthy in every other aspect - a prime specimen of a midget hound! thanks, Kara |
Kara, do his eyes look normal at that time? Can you get any real response out of him by doing something he likes OR dislikes? If this were a human, I would know to suggest a check-up for neuro problems like maybe having a petit mal seizure. I hope this is just a fluke....but I would definitely have it checked..Good Luck |
Yes, his eyes do look normal, and he eventually just slows down and stops. He can be "snapped" out of it. He'll still fetch and play, but then he'll go back to doing it. I want to be sure it's not neural, too, so I'll take him in for a check up...thanks whispersmom2 |
