| PrinceLouiesMom | 08-03-2007 10:02 AM | hot spots louie developed dry, flaky patches all over his skin, one on his neck...i guess it was the most reachable for him got really red and inflammed like.We found out that Louie is most likely allergic to corn after someone advised us to try taking it outta his diet the dry, flaky patches have disappered almost completely. We took him to the vet and they said he created a hot spot on his neck so they shaved my poor babies hair on one side of his neck. He was perscribed clavamox by mouth, neo-predef powder ( they say its like neosporin in powder form), and hydroxyzine (benadryl). The spot cleared up but he's now got a hot spot on the other side errrrrrr  soooo my question is does anyone use any topicals that will help the itching associated with allergies? Or is there sumthin my vet can maybe prescribed me that is better? He has to go back to the vet on Tuesday, if theres sumthin more natural that i can use, id rather use that for ex I read emu oil works well??? is this okay for our babies??? Im interested to kno my options, so any suggestions are welcomed |
