Stuff in the corner of the eye Does anyone else have a problem with stuff in your babies eyes. My Tali has a problem with both eyes in the corner. I dont know what it is maybe tearstain. Is there any thing that I can do to help it. I have to clean her eyes out everyday because she has eye boogies. But is seems to always happen. Thanks Steph |
We have this same problem too and would like to hear what others are doing for this also. |
eyes Yeah, I think it's a yorkie trait. I've heard that giving them distilled water instead of tap water is supposed to help but I keep forgetting to buy some |
It is a pain in the butt to deal with because when I go to clean it out it looks like it hurts her steph |
Change the water to distilled water.. or iron free water. Dont feed them anything red including treats. I think thas what they say here. I recently started giving my boy distilled water.. i am waiting to see if it works. If i am wrong on the distilled water part please tell me. I am just limited to my choices here in PR since i don't have a car and have to shop and get whats convenient. I miss all my bottled water choices in the States. Also wash every day with a warm cloth and that helps clean it off |
I just bought Eye Envy which gets it off easily when you pour some on a warm, wet paper towel. It's supposed to get the stain out after awhile too. I'd be surprised if it did, but it is a painless way to get the gook off. |

Dakota has been having a lot of them, Aubrey doesn't. |
We had this problem with Joey, even tried Missing Link and other dried beef products that supposedly would help. Finally, tried distilled water and within a week the problem cleared up. My husband sometimes gives him a drink of regular water and the next day his eyes are all stained again. Even a small amount such as a tablespoon of regular bottled water will cause the problem. Purified water sometimes is the same as distilled water, but with some purified water they add the minerals back, which causes the problem. Check the lable to be sure. Minerals are added to water to improve the taste. Nothing is unsafe about distilled water it just doesn’t taste as good, but Joey doesn't seem to mind. Nancy |

Yeah we have boggie eyes here too. I take a baby wash cloth and clean them out. |
Lily has the same problem! I use Pet Gold Tear Stain Remover Wipes. They are small, effective, and affordable! I bought them at Petco. |

www.eyeenvy.com is great for this as well just buy the bottle and use a cotton pad to clean. no red dyes or beet pulp in treats or food It is bacteria that is coming out of the tear duct. You could use probiotics dds plus (acidopholus, biffidus and fos) as that is good bacteria killing bad bacteria in there gut as a lot of what they eat comes out through skin and other places. The healthier the gut the better the body. |
