Homecookers-poo question (sorry I'm being gross again) For those of you that homecook, have you ever/do you notice that some of the food goes through them, mostly undigested? Is this something to be worried about? Is there anything I can do? I noticed this awhile back with a few veggies, but didn't think much of it. I was feeding rice/meat/kidney beans/veggies, and oats/turkey/carrots, but I switched to hulled barley/meat/kidney beans/sweet potato, and that's when I really noticed it with the barley. Any ideas/advice/suggestions? Thanks! |
When Ellie eats homecooked she acts like she hasn't eaten in months. She doesn't chew her food and she was pooping whole peas. The peas get cut up and there is not too much of a problem anymore. She has barley in her food too so I will look at her poop next time to see if I see any. |
Yes. Ozzie is like a little vacuum when it comes to eating. I have to SMASH everything almost to oblivion for this reason.:D |
My two scarf their food down also so I run everything through the food processor and that seems to help:) |
A food processor helps big time! :) |
Yes, I have a small one we use to grind the chicken and beef. It is wonderful! Since I add veggies fresh to each meal, I just smash those with a fork and mix with the ground meat. |
