Chicken Soup for Dog Lovers I would like to try this food and see if my Ginger likes it. I understand the major pet stores don't carry it, so where do you buy it? Thanks! |
Check the website there are lists of stores that carry it. I buy my food from a local feed store that has a great selection of natural foods and treats |

I got it at Pets Supply Plus. My dogs didnt like it though |
I bought it for Diesel because he wasn't eating his Innova very well. I went and bought it and he wouldn't even eat it at first. Then when he did eat it .. it didn't agree with his stomach very well at all. I even mixed the 2 foods for him. Then he ended up picking out his Innova. I guess he does like it.. LOL So we stick to Innova only. I know a lot of people on YT use it tho. I would give it a try it can't hurt. Good luck |

I didn't realize it was on the recall list. I'm currently giving her Science Diet Lamb & Rice. She scratches all the time and I hear she might be allergic to corn. What's a good that doesn't have corn? |

The most recent recall was the wet food, but about a year ago or so the dry foodwas recalled. I believe there were mold spores growing on one of the ingredients (I think wheat maybe, but don't hold me to it) Only foods manufactured at their one plant was recalled - I had teddy on the puppy formula and when that happened I switched to innova even though his was made at a plant that was not recalled - I will see if I can find the specifics for you |
okay i found it! Chicken Soup is made by Diampond pet foods which had a recall because Aflatoxin was found in the foods - it is naturally ocurring and can be found on different types of crops from fungus. Chicken soup was not manufactured at the plants that were effected, but I stopped feeding it b/c i'm a worrier here is the link it is almost 2 years old now though - i think the only other recall was the recent ones with the wet food http://www.fda.gov/oc/po/firmrecalls/diamond12_05.html |
