cheese can u give yorkies little bites of cheese? And for a puppy snack I give him cheerios...Is that ok? |
Yes those treats are fine, but don't give too much because some cheese are high in sodium. Fruits and vegetables make great snacks and treats for them as well, just stay away from onions, raisins, grapes, and don't let your pup get the seeds of the fruits. I know that there is a goat cheese with honey that has lower sodium that you can buy at costco too. |
i give my babies the string cheese and they LOVE it  They do have cottage cheese along with their main meal in the mornings  |
I was eating string cheese earlier today and remembered reading this post yesterday, so I gave Bella a little piece and she flipped out, starting running around like crazy, she LOVED it. I definitely will continue giving her little pieces every so often as a treat...she was a very happy puppy:aimeeyork Christina and Bella |
we give nonfat cottage cheese as well :) |
I give mine cottage cheese and string cheese |
I use 2 % American Yellow Cheese to make Buddy a cheese bone. I stuff a piece of cheese inside his bone and I get to be alone for aleast 1/2 hr.:D I only do this once a wk. |
If I give Seth & Sasha cheese they get the Hershey Squirts:D so I do not give them cheese. |
Thanks for putting up this thread! My bf and I wanted to try some different types of treats for Tobi, and I think cheese would be a great idea! Although...my bf loves cheese, so, it'd be hard for him to share w/my fur baby Tobi :p |
