Bully Sticks
 
Has anyone noticed if when your baby chews on a bully stick for awhile it makes them really thirsty?? Reeses got a bully stick tonight for a while and when I took it away from him he went his water bowl and almost drank it empty!

I haven't noticed excessive thirst with Bully Sticks in particular, but my guys seem to drink more after any extended chewing session. I guess they use up all their spit.

I figure maybe he just uses alot of spit when chewing b/c bully sticks are hard but after they chew them awhile it gets all soggy. Lol.

Loki drinks a lot to begin with, but yes chewing bully sticks makes him very thirsty. I'm sure other things would too, but that's all he chews for long periods of time.

Yep yep! Diggy and Bella get thirsty after chewing anything...but judging byt he pile of drool they so kindly leave on the pillow ar blanket they are chewing thier treats on...Id be thirsty tooo!!!! Lil hoggers!!

Mine get thirsty too. I give all the dogs their own bully stick but Kaya will lay and watch and as soon as Tinka gets up to go get a drink, Kaya will steal her bully stick. Then when Kaya gets a drink, someone steals hers and on it goes...:rolleyes:

Mine do this too. They tag team one stick until it's gone, then start on the other one. Sammy just lies there and watches Loki chew until he gets up to get a drink and then she steals it. I think they like their sticks pre-chewed.

Yea when I go home to visit my parents and all the dogs get a bully stick...Reeses will go hide his in my room in his bed and then come back and try to steal theirs. Its really funny. He's the baby but definitely rules the roost. The Big Man on Campus. Lol. :animal36

Lacy always has a good drink from her water bowl after chewing her bully stix for a while too.
