Wet Food??? I've been looking for almost two hours at past posts, websites and all that jazz i'm thinking about putting Mickey on Inova since I looked at the website and seems to be really good. But, my question is do I feed him wet food ontop of it? and if so what kind? He's not eating good at all and I've had him for a month and i tried Health Extension which he came home with, Iams puppy, and science diet... I read bad things about iams and science diet so I dont want him on that. My old dog was on pedigree all her life but she was over weight almost 20 pounds and yes she was a yorkie but she lived to be 15 1/2 so I dont know! UGH My mom already spent so much money on bags of dry food I feel so bad! Any advice? |
I have heard good things abt Innova, but don't have personal experience with it. I don't feel mine any wet food, never have. I've only given them kibble and then I will boil a chicken breast and shred it. Then I take just a tiny bit of chicken and mix it in with the kibble so that the chicken gets all over it so they eat it all! This has helped me get them through the picky stages. That might help ti get Mickey eating regularly! p.s. Mine also get a handful of BilJac select in their food at night. They LOVE it!!! I feed Natural Balance with the Bil-Jac and then add the chk! |
I feed wet food and dry - it was the only way we could get one of my late dogs to eat and as they looked healthy and vigorous we just carried on doing the same with the rest. I've never had a problem with wet food as long as they have dried food too and plenty of chews, we also clean their teeth everyday and I don't beleive they have any health or teeth problem due to their diets, and importantly they love their food so no struggling to get them to eat. |
