:) hi thanks for replying...took me ages to remember where I had posted my question... I have always had yorkies but my 3 year old doesn't like being brushed..I don't know whether I am using the wrong brush or what...just general tips would be good. I only have the one yorkie, my first yorkies 30 years ago I had in a pair. My current yorkie Tilly is a little confused today my hubby's old english sheepdog died yesterday after only 5 days of being poorly and we are trying to act normally but Tilly keeps looking for her Mum. She is a spoilt madam she has just had her brekkie of scrambled egg and canin, now she is barking at the guinea pig cage because she wants her piece of carrot when they have theirs. better go... |
sorry i'm not much help. I had posted a similar question but didn't get a lot of response either. I know there are finger brushes and wipes in addition to the regular brushes but I'm not sure how succesful people have been using them vs the regular style of brush I think I'm going to try the finger brush myself and I'll have to let you know. :) |
When my two were little I used a small comb on their hair and then switched to a larger comb when their hair started getting longer. I found the comb kept them from getting matted whereas the brush tended to just gloss over their hair and they'd mat underneath. As for their teeth, I started with the finger brush because it was small and helped them get used to me being in their mouths. Later I switched to a small toothbrush. I use the pet toothpaste that's flavored. I also use PetzLife oral gel at least once a week. |
