lawn spot products I know there are lawn spot products that you can give to your dog... pills, powder, water additive, etc... I want to know if they are safe for the dogs? Is there anything natural that one can give to a dog to help eliminate the brown spots? I'm not interested in the products that have you dig up the top 3" of the dirt, etc.. I would be out on my lawn full time! I try to have them go where there is no grass, but that isn't always possible - like when they are in their fenced play area outside. Any suggestions? |

I don't know about anything you can give your dog but I heard somewhere that if you use chemicals on your lawn you will get brown spots. I dont' know if that is true or not. I just recently saw a commercial for a product that is grass seed encapsulated in fertalizers and stuff that you sprinkle on your ground and it will grow green where the brown spots were. I don't remember what it is called but they showed that they could even grow grass on bricks without any soil. I don't know how safe it is for pets but I am just going to have the brown spots because mine eat so much stuff from the ground I don't want to have the additional worry about what chemicals they are ingesting. |
My cousin seems to believe that it depends on the food that is fed to the dog. She said that their dog doesn't have a problem, but a dog just like theirs does, and it eats different food. They had the other dog play at their house and had a problem. We don't have a problem. You may want to start a thread to explore this issue. ;) |
