Please keep Jersey in your thoughts/prayers today My little Munchkin Jersey is getting spayed today along with having some teeth pulled (I only see 2 on the bottom). Im worried because she weighed in at 2.8 this morning (she's up a few ounces). She had pre-op bloodwork done on Thursday and all came back great and her stool was negative. I could've dropped her off at 8:30am this morning but they said i could keep her until 10:30/11:00 so...im working from home this morning so i can take her in at 10:30am. I dont want to stress her out anymore than need be. I feel so bad she's looking for food :( they are late eaters so it was hard for me to pick up their food at 9:00 last night. Daisy is like whats going on no food and now no water. I will post as soon as I drop her off and as soon as i hear anything from the vet. |
:hands: for Jersey, and for you:love: That is so hard, to pick up their food:( I hate that look in their eyes! |
Your little one is in my prayers:) Hang in there and keep yourself busy and she'll be back in your arms in no time! |
Lexie and I will be thinking of Jersey today, also. We did this last week. I know what you mean about the food and water. Lexie looked devastated when she got up that morning and there wasn't any water :( |
Awwwww, I've been thinking about her since last night !!!!!! Can't wait for all the updates. Poor baby.......are you off the rest of the week? Can't wait to hear all is done and well ! I'm sure Meiah and Brodie are worried about thier little girl too ! :p |
Did you drop her off already? |
I dropped her off at like 11:15. I just got to work. I have to call after 4pm :( but i can deal with that as long as i dont get a call from them sooner. I trust my vet 100% and he told me when I dropped her off If he had any doubts he wouldnt do it. I will be calling at 4:00 on the dot. It's going to be the longest day!! |
Hi Dana . . . am sure you have a wonderful vet that will take good care of Jersey. I don't think Jersey is too worried, but I sure know MOM is big time :) Let us know as soon as she is out of surgery . . . just think happy thoughts . . the time will go quickly. Hugs and have a wonderful 4th of July celebration. |

The onesie was big but i'm going to have my mom sew it up to make it fit. I cant beleive the panties from Build A Bear Workshop were too big  Daisy wouldnt let us out the house. I tried to explain to Daisy but she didnt want me to leave with her :( |
Fingers crossed that Jersey will come through like a little trooper. If they only knew what we go through worring about them. I hope the day just fly's by for you and 4:00 is here before you know it. |
I just called the vet 4:00 on the dot like I said. The Dr said she did great and is waking up and ready to be picked up 6:15 :D Im SO excited. Cant wait to go get her!!!!!! Thank you all for thinking of us today!! |

I wasnt this worried about Daisy when she got spayed and had 4 teeth removed. She had alot more meat on her so thats part of it and the other part that made it difficult for me was my fiance. He is so attached to her and he has been having nightmares about her not making it our of it and it was really scaring me because there is always some truth to dreams/nightmares (i think). Thank you all again!! We really appreciate it! :ghug: |
Yay! She did well! What a relief. |
I'm so happy to hear everything went well! Is she home yet? |

Thank you for posting this. I have no idea why i was so worried. This girl is back 100% Not only did she jump onto her chair, her appetite is totally there, she wants to play, ran up the stairs (she slides the cardboard over ~ changing that first thing in the am) you would never knew she had surgery. The discharge paperwork says NO jumping, excessive stairs, must be leashed for 14 days....well that didnt work in the first few hours. She's in bed with me right now eating a bully stick. |
WOW! Thats great!!!!!!! I guess she doesn't take after her daddy then cuz he's a big ole baby :p And all Brodie had done was 4 teeth pulled! He cried and cried :( (they always say "men" are always big babies when they don't feel well, I guess that happens in Male dogs too! :p LOL) So glad Jersey isn't taking after him in that way, and is taking it so well!!!! |
Sounds like you're going to have fun keeping her quiet for 2 weeks! Glad she's doing so well! |
