Ok, I did it. I made the switch. Through reading the threads on here and talking to others as well as employees at pet stores. Innova seems to be one of the best out there. I started her on it yesterday, im making the transition slowly by mixing both her old food with the new. She seems to LOVE it. Also, people at the pet store said the same think about Eukanuba, its good but its got a lot of fillers. |
IMO , one day a brand is good , the other day the same brand is not good etc etc . I have had very good results with Eukanuba with the girls and the puppies. So why should I change it ? Why change 4 quarters for a dollar ??????????? |

Because it is invasively tested on other dogs is the reason most people choose. |

Sometimes people have the mind set if it works for years and their dogs likes to eat it, it is fine. I have a hard time understanding that, but I have also spend many many hours to research the pet foods and ingredients. I think some of the pet foods are like McDonalds. Yes, your dog will eat it and like it. But eating all that bad stuff cannot be too good for their overall health. I think some people think that if their dog does not fall down dead after eating it it must be just fine. Feeding the better quality pet food costs around the same as feeding the cheaper filler foods as you feed less even though they cost more. Just my 2 cents. :) |
Since you've done so much reading on food what do you feed your baby? I still can't make up my mind about what Tyson will eat. i want to make sure its good and healthy for him. the price doesn't bother me i just want whats BEST for him. I want my lil guy to be around for a long time and if feed him good food no matter if its high price of cheap is all that matters to me. |
To those of you that use Innova.... Where do you buy it? Is it sold in stores? One site that I looked at says it isn't but wanted to double check. |
It is sold in stores..if you go to the website http://www.naturapet.com/display.php?d=stores-tab and enter your zipcode and city they will give you the closest distributors |

All the best and happy and healthy meals to your pup. :) |
Oh this is all so confusing. Finally I found a food that Maggie likes, which is Royal Canin Mini Puppy33. When I took her into the vet this morning for her rabies shot, I saw Innova on the shelf. I asked the vet, of RC and Innova, which is the best. He said that both are very good, but Innova is totally natural. So I bought a bag of Innova Puppy. When I got home I gave Maggie one Innova kibble. She turned her nose totally up in the air. Looks like it's RC33 at our house. |
WE DID IT!!!!! made the switch to Solid Gold its the number one food in the country at the moment I am told and my lil man is in LOVE with it Thanks to all of you who helped and responded. We are on cloud nine now. |
LOL..stitches I had the same problem....Maximus looked at me like "are you nuts"???..I want my little kibleand to be honest I was perfectly okay with the RC....but he had this itch that the vet suggested was from the corn in the RC..which is why I switched..but I like the kibble size of the RC...it took about 2 weeks..but Maximus is finally all Innova..and his itch has gottent 110x's better...but if no itch I woUld of stayed with RC |
This is a very good food also...I was debating between Innova..solid gold and wellness |
Well, because of Miss Priss with her nose up in the air, I have invented a new food. Since I have a food pantry of dry dog food, containing every size, color, taste, price tag, not to mention fancy labels--this is what I did. I mixed Bil Jac, Royal Canin, Innova all together. She went into hog buffet heaven. So, if any of you have all of a sudden Picky Attack, just mix some of the other dry food together. They think they are getting something new. Don't ask me what I'm going to do when she snubs this new mixture. I'll start thinking about that now. |
What do you feed Daisy? My breeder started me with Royal Canin My yorkie is 17 wks old and the breeder sent me home with Royal Canin baby dog and she is now on RC 33. She was fine in Idaho but I am visiting Temecula CA and she got fleas and I used Advantage per the vet. She is still itching though no fleas. Hope it's not the food. Thanks for all the help Beckgirl1 & Woserit :aimeeyork Quote:
