My babies eat apples! I found the weirdest thing out about my two babies today. They both love apples! I've never owned a dog before that would eat fruit. My son and myself decided to pull out more produce from the fridge to see what they may like to snack on. They ate bananas, pickle slices, tomato & cucumber! Does anyone else's dogs enjoy eating fruits and veggies? Or any other unheard of thing? |

I home cook for Jake, and he loves veggies and fruit. All natural applesauce is good too, as it doesn't have all the sugar that regular applesauce has. He loves watermelon and bananas too. Baby carrots are one of Jake's favorite veggies. He loves to chew on them raw, and I also cook carrots for him. But, if you feed raw ones, it's best that you supervise them closely so that they don't choke. His absolute favorite vegetable is green beans. I get the toddler finger food green beans, and he loves them!! Just don't feed grapes or raisins, they are bad for dogs. |
I haven't tried feeding spencer any fruits or veggies because i didn't know what ones were safe, but i think i will start feeding him some applies and carrots. thanks guys :) |
Mine eat anything I eat except bananas. Tomatoes I have heard are bad for them, you might want to check that out. Also they can't have avocados. |
yorkies love fruit and vegetables. I didn't know that before, because like you, I never had a dog that would eat that. Bengi loves strawberries. |
My Alyssa does not care for any fruits or vegetables. She holds out for a tiny bite of hamburger or a french fry. She does not want anything to do with fruits or vegetables. Emily Kate on the other hand will eat almost all fruits and vegetables. She loves blueberries, oranges, grapefruit, tomatoes, strawberries and yesterday I gave her a little of my apple. She loved it. Emmy likes almost all fruits and vegetables. The only thing I can think of that she does not like is lettuce. I do not give grapes or raisins. I have not given her bananas. She loves to eat yogurt and low fat cottage cheese. She loves her fruits and vegetables. |
'bacca LOVES baby carrots. He'll eat a whole little "lunch pack" if I'll let him! |

i found out last night that 2 out of 3 of my babies like cantalope..i dont like cantalope but my husband does and he mademixed bowls of fruit for us last night so i shared mine with the puppies |
Ozzie, too, LOVES apples. I always share mine with him. He also likes carrots, green beans, broccoli, oranges, bananas, and lettuce. |
Oh yeah, Izzy loves apples too. I was like you, first dog didnt know if they could eat fruit. The first real piece of food I gave him was a piece of a granny smith apple. Ever since then, he was hooked! If I eat an apple, he gives me this crazy look like, "Uh, where is mine?" He eats other fruits and veggies too.:) |
okay I'm picking up some Apples & Carrots on the way home !! I'm curious to see if my baby likes them! |
