Buying Flea & Tick from Ebay?? I called around to price some AdvantiX or Front Line from my vet and for Front Line for 6/mon supply, they want $60.00 and for Advantix they want $15.20 for 1 dose. I just found this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/10-MONTH-GENUINE...QQcmdZViewItem Anyone else ever buy this from ebay? |
That is cheap! I know a few people here on YT have mentioned buying theirs online at EBAY. Just check the sellers feedback before you decide. Not sure if the stuff has an expiration date on it so be sure to ask them that before you buy it. |

Nah I wouldn't do it. Not sure if your vet will price match...most will so they dont' lose the business. Jefferspets.com and kvvetsupply.com both sell very cheaply and are very reputable companies. check their price and then print it and ask the vet if they will match the price. My brother did it with our vet and they happily matched. The vets know that they super mark up stuff. So even if they price match they will make money on the item. When it comes to dividing meds to a correct dosage for our little dogs I rahter not do it. Easy to misjudge if you ask me and cause more problems. |
I bought my first kit from this person and bought some for my friends. I've been doing it this way for almost one year and haven't had any problems with fleas, ticks, etc. Since I now have the kit I buy single doses for dogs 55 lbs and over at $12.00 (includes shipping) from someone else on ebay. I save loads of money this way. $12.00 every 6 months is not bad for me! |
I've been doing this (dividing doses) for months now, no problems with Ruby or our large dogs. However, I'm looking into more natural remedies as I'm not a fan of using chemicals. My problem is that most of the natural remedies don't work here. |
That's great then. You have fellow YTers that have vouched for it so if you are comfy doing it then go for it. Anything to save a buck. I don't use any of these things. I just give lulu a brewers yeast with garlic tab and she is good to go. |

Give you an idea of the savings; it cost me $12/month for flea meds from our vet for just Ruby. For $12/month, I'm treating Ruby, 1 med and 2 large dogs, by dividing packages. |
I have never bought these from ebay but I have sold FrontLine on there myself. I had one unopened box and one that had been opened (not sure why). These were for our indoor cats so I didn't feel that we needed them just sitting in our closet....so I sold them on ebay. I don't see anything wrong with it, as long you feel comfortable with the seller's feedback rating. Tammy |
