She got spayed this morning!
 

Wow, was it ever depressing leaving her at the Vet early in the morning. Missy hates going/visiting the hospital. She despises her vet with a passion, ever since he expressed her glands. So yeah, I was so sad throughout the day. I'd be enjoying the day, and then I'd remember Missy in my head, then my heart would start to ache because I know she must of been horrified being there, and she probably thought we abandoned her or something..... it was tough!!! definitely tough being away from her for about 8 hours.... really was. Anyways, she's resting now, still making a little bit of "i'm in pain" noise. The worst part about this was when we weren't allowed to feed her after 6 (yesterday) Missy can be a cow, so when she doesn't have her food, she's depressed!! and in the morning, the sound of her stomach was dreadful, it was like something was eating it!!! she was so hungry, poor baby:( :( So yeah, we go to the Vet to pick her up @ around 5:30 and I noticed a new worker there, i think shes the secretary, who was wearing this slutty red short dress, lol weird, but yeah, we asked her when Missy can eat... she said TOMORROW!!! I was like ummm.... NO, I spoke with the Vet today during the afternoon and he said she is allowed to eat @ 9:00 pm... lol that really pissed me off... but it didnt matter, because there was no way of me feeding her tomorrow, i just had to feed her today. I hope she recovers quick :( I miss her wild little self.

Glad to hear she's feeling pretty good! I was allowed to feed mine that same night but it was something light. I think a few pieces of chicken and some rice and with Phoebi it was a scrambled egg.

Yeah, I can't leave my poor baby starving like that... no way in hell.

I made her basically rice soup... mixed with breast chicken.... she DEFINITELY enjoyed it!


How much did it cost you?

Phoebi was spayed 6 years ago ($150 with pre-op bloodwork and baby teeth pulled) and Chan neutered 5 years ago (around $110)....but it's funny you ask!

I called about a month ago because I was looking into a new puppy and I was floored at how much their fees have gone up!!!

A female under 10 lbs. is $250.

Can't wait for my daughter to graduate from Vet School!!

Yep.... it has definitely gone up.... it was 238 for Missy.

I hope Missy has a speedy recovery. Soon she will be hard to keep from moving too much! It is terrible to leave them there---I left crying when I dropped my Roxee off at the vets office. Give Missy some hugs and kisses.
