Eukanuba vs. Purina One Im talking about the Purina One that is new, special for puppies......costs about $10 for a small bag.........'sposed to be natural ingriedients......What do y'all feed your puppies/dogs? |
I feed my baby Royal Canin puppy 33. My breeder recommended it. I got it at Petsmart. She's 17 weeks old but at 10 months I have to switch to Royal Canin yorkshire 28. At least, that's what my breeder recommends. :) |
I feed my dog eukanuba and science diet puppy small bites. I prefer the eukanuba and Paddington doesn't seem to care which one is in his bowl! -O |
I feed Royal Canin as well. I'm pretty sure its the best food thats available at Pet Stores. |
Kalina82 posted this site yesterday- www.dogfoodanalysis.com. It is a very informative site to help you understand dog food. I wouldn't say that Eukanuba or Purina are very good. A lot of people do like Royal Canin but it does have wheat which isn't benificial and causes allergies in many dogs. I feed mine Merrick but there are many good foods. Do a search and I'll bet you come up with tons of options. Good luck!:) |

I wouln't feed either. and they're right you should go to the analysis site it's so helpful. I had no idea that the food i was giving my baby was so unhealthy. I feed mine fromms and he loves it. It's human grade and there are so many different kinds to choose from. what ever you choose READ THE LABEL and know what you're feeding your baby |
Eukanuba!..hands down!! Eukanuba,,In addition to the vet and the breeder (2 different folks),, I've heard endless positive things about the brand of quality food. |
It all depends on what your vet recommends and how your pup reacts, Friday (6 months) threw up from Royal Canin 33 so I switched to Eukanuba prescription Low residue puppy diet. So far so good. Monday (4½ years) is currently on California Natural reduced fat Chicken and rice. Both are dry foods. If Friday gets to Monday's food, she will get sick again. So it all depends on the dog's reaction. Go for what you think is best, and if it works, good ... you hit the lottery! |
i feed Eukanuba as well. A lot of people don't care for it but there are those of us that don't have accesss to most of the other kinds and it is better than what you buy at your local grocery. |

I'm switching mine to Canidae as soon as this bag of Iams is gone. I previously fed Purina until I read more into it. My lab has oodles of allergies and it's probable the Purina could have been part of it. |

Dog food I'm currently trying to figure out which food is a good one too! I found this link (below) in a previous Y.T. thread. I think it's quite helpful! Please check it out. By the way I've been feeding my Chibi Eukanuba 1-6 years weight maintenance food, I thought it was a good food, but now I'm not so sure based on what I've read so far... http://www.dogfoodproject.com/index.php?page=intro :aimeeyork |
