Age/Size Hello, Could anyone tell me at what age Yorkies get to their adult size? |
Hi! Mine seemed to stop getting bigger at 7-8 mos., but now his body is starting to fill out more. My vet said they stop anywhere from 7 mos. to 15 mos. |
i'd say Layla stopped growing around 1 year |
one of mine stopped at a year another stopped at 7 months then at 1 1/2 yrs had a huge growth spurt of 2lbs, longer legs and body another, she is 9 months and i have not seen much change lately and lastly my boy, he is 6 months and just had a growth spurt |
And at 4 month she would be what... aproximately alf the adult size? I'm trying to guess what size she'll be... ;) |
Usuallie around 12 months to 18 months they are fully grown...;) |
I think it really depends on the individual yorkie. The breeder might have some idea, because they'll know when their parents reached adult size, and thats the best indication. |

cozy stopped growing with her first heat at 6 months. My golden retriever did not fill out in the chest until 5 years of age. He was a late bloomer and Cozy is an early one I guess. |
coli stopped growing at 6 months. I was told that at six months they reache there adult size, but seeing all the different post. My guess would be, it all depends. |
My Ziggy is 9 lbs 4 oz and he is not 5 months old until June 16. His mom and dad are 7 and 8 lbs. Where did this giant come from???? So long as he can still cuddle on my lap I don't care how big he gets. Charlene |
I really don't care either how big she gets, I confess I even like them big. I was just curious if she'll get bigger than my cats :D Her father is 3.3 lbs Her mother is 5.5 lbs Bit is 4 month old and she is 7.5 lbs (!!!) A monster... :D |
