New mommy I am getting my baby in two weeks. I've read some scary stuff online about commercial pet food. Just wondering if anyone has done any research on it. I have a link to a site I found on this issue. Mentioned on this webiste are the 4 D's used in the processing of commercial dog food. GROSS!!! Should I be worried? I want to give my baby the best quality of life, but not sure if I'll be poisoining him by feeding him what I "think" is best for him. Any advice? What do you feed your Yorkies? A combo of commerical pet food, and homemade dog treats, only homemade dog treats.... I'd appreciate any feedback! :aimeeyork i luv dexter |
Hi Dexter's mommy, welcome to YT! I think this recall of all the dog foods has really made it difficult for people to find a dog food that they feel safe with. To answer your question, we do only homecooked meals with added supplements and natural treats and snacks like watermelon, apple (cut into pieces and peeled), carrots, stonyfield organic low or nonfat yogurt, nonfat cottage cheese... If you're interested Dr. Pitcairn's book is a wonderful starting point. |
