High calorie mush?
 
I may ask this in the sick/injured area as well.
I remember seeing some recipes for a high calorie mush that I can mix up for a baby who needs to gain weight...can anyone help me out?
My sick Lexxi is drastically losing weight and I want to start force feeding her via syringe.....thank you!

okay I looked and looked I found a pudding mix.

let set for about 10 mins

put a couple tbls in micro (warm slightly) mix in a couple nutradrops

also feed her this during nursing

Thank you so much! She is not interested in anything other than the Innova she "kind of" eats, so I will have to feed it to her. This could work. What is nutradrops? A vitamin, I assume?

nutradrops is like nutrical a suplament you can get at petco or petsmart.

Puppy Pudding
From The Book " Howto Buy And Raise A Good Healthy Dog " By Terri Shumsky

Mix In A Sauce Pan And Cook To Pudding Consistency, Or Divide Recipie In Half For A Smaller Quanity.

2/3-cup Sugar,
6 Tablespoonscornstarch
1/2-teaspoon Salt
4 Cups Milk, Or 1 Can Evaporated Milk With Equal Parts Waterto Make A Quart.
4 Egg Yolks
3 Teaspoons Vanilla.
Feed With A Syringe, Spoon Or In A Bowl.
Full Of Protein And Very Nourishing.
(has Never Caused Diarrhea)

Thank you! I've copied all these into word to print out. I'm hoping something will be good for her :confused: It's so sad....
Have you used this recipe yourself and had good results? I'm just wondering about the milk in these recipes...is it ok? And also this one says "full of protein" and is that good for weight gain? I mean for us, its carbs-lol! And also...what is protein in this recipe? I'm just curious, cause isn't protein in the egg whites, and these recipes say to use egg yolks? Thanks everyone!
