Has anyone given their yorkie the cob on corn on the Cob? We would eat the corn and he would nibble on the cob? I am just curious?? I was shucking the corn tonight and he was going crazy with the smell. Thanks! Heidi |
I heard on here before the cob is not good for them forget why though |
corn is fine as long as it is cooked... but i'd think the cob part would be hard to digest.. maybe you could cut it off.. and make sure there isn't butter or salt on it.. |
They will choke on corn on the cob! You can give them corn kernels, and maybe you can give them the corn you get in a can (baby corn or whatever) since that's quite soft. |
A lot of dogs are allergic to corn. |
Thanks everyone. We just ended up cutting the "end corn" off from the cobs that the kids didn't eat....they are more "middle of the corn" eaters:rolleyes: |
growing up, i had a shepard husky who used to eat the corn off the cob while we were holding it..it was the funniest thing ever...he knew exactly how to pull the corn off, just like we do |
Mine LOVE corn on the cob. They chew those kernnels right off. :) Cook the corn first though. They don't eat the cob anyway. |
thats good information since we love to cook corn on the cob ont he grill and boil it and the franks tries to eat everything but good info |
I remembered my dog eating it when I was little too. We had a few ears again tonight, and Scruffy spent about 15 minutes eating the end ears again, and then he was done, so he didn't even want the cob, but it kept him busy outside this evening, thats always good!! Thanks for the info, it seems they don't even want the cob, just the corn! |
