irritated skin My little guy has some pink colored skin along his hind legs. Shows up mostly along the bone line. He had some earlier on his tummy with a couple of mild bumps which have disappeared at this time. The rest of his skin seems to be normal at this time. He is mildly scratching.....I am going to take him to the vet as soon as I can get an appointment which I am sure will be this week if not tomorrow. Has anyone had this experience with their baby. Maybe it's allergies? My Hallie has really dry skin and gets red and irritated quite a bit. Good Luck at the vet :) |
Have you recently switched him to new food? Sometimes their skin will get irritated as a result of food allergies. |

Similiar Problem I think I experienced a similar problem with my 5 year old male Yorkie. I took my Yorkie to the vet and he said it was a bacterial infection and prescribed two weeks of antibotics and I still had the same problem. I began doing a lot of reading and discovered that residue builds up on the skin from shampoos and conditioners and will cause problems. I started using Coat Handler Shampoo and Conditioner (15 to 1) and put Skin Works another Coat Handler product on the affected areas three times a day. Immediately I saw results. It is recommended that you use the Coat Handler Shampoo/Conditioner once a week for 6 weeks to completely remove the residue. These products have no oil, silcone, or other harmful ingredients in them. I hope you do consider using them because my problem became much worst than yours sounds. My baby ended up with big sores all over his tummy. Jad:) |
