Update on Sammy I can't believe how much of a stinker my little baby is! We have to give him antibiotics for 7 days, but they gave us pills, not the liquid which they gave last time (and was A LOT easier!). My mom and I have tried EVERYTHING!!...cheese, cottage cheese, hot dogs, watermelon, mixing w/ nutrical, honey, yogurt...you name it, we've tried it. We've ended up just giving it to him by opening up his mouth and putting it down his throat. He's a stubborn little man too! He turns his head the whole time. He's been doing really great though. Yesterday my mom took him outside for a bit b/c he hasn't been outside since he was sick. She said he hopped all through the grass like a bunny and ran right to a tree where he automatically did his business!! I couldn't believe it. We also got the shirt I ordered for him in the mail yesterday, but it's still too big. It's a little gray sweatshirt...ADORABLE! Does anyone know where I can find puppy clothes to fit a 2lb? I really want him to get used to wearing shirts when he's young. Thanks! |

Bella was on antibotic pills for 3 weeks and wouldn't let me open her mouth either. We chopped the pill up into tiny pieces and put it on a spoon with Jelly/jam and she licked it off and took the little pieces too!! Or try the same thing with peanut butter |
Try spoiled yorkies.com. She makes the clothes according to measurements, and she goes really tiny, for the very littlest dogs. |
Toto won't take pills either!! :) My method works and assures me that the pill indeed goes in her tummy! She loves Nutri-Cal so I put a little dot on my finger and stick the pill in it, make her open her mouth and put the pill as far back on her tongue as possible then gently hold her mouth shut! This forces her to swallow the pill and then she gets another little bit of Nutri-Cal and she is happy and so am I!! ;) |

Try Michelle's they have clothes for Bears and they are tiny and a t-shirt was only $2.99 and if you wait till Sunday they always have a coupon for 40% off. |
Great! Thanks for all the help! Sam is taking his pills now by putting it way back on his tongue and holding his mouth shut. He gets mad, but whatever gets him better! :) I'm still nervous b/c he has a runny nose. I'm thinking it might be allergies though b/c he sneezes A LOT...does some reverse sneezing, and is itchy. Does that sound about right? I'm making an appointment this Friday for a follow up after he finishes his last dose of medicine on Tuesday. Hope everything looks good. |
Yea!!! So glad to hear Sam is doing better, that's great!!!! He must be on the mend if he is being such a little pill. haha |
