Pup in the Jacuzzi? Is it okay for Mugzy to go in the jacuzzi with me? I have taken him in two times so far. The first time he REALLY wanted to come in with me. He was scared, but was okay. The second time he, again, wanted to come in with me. He wasn't really scared and did swim back and forth between me and my son. :) We keep the water temp between 90 and 95. Afterwards I dried him off, combed him out while he ate a snack, and he slept like a log!:D Just FYI, He'll be 5 months old, and has not been neutered yet. |
this is a good question? i have no idea. But i do know you can't put a small child in a hot tub and i would think the same for a tiny dog. The heat could be to much for them |
Jacuzzis can be too hot for children so I imagine they are too hot for dogs too. I have one and dont put mine in it |
Also, doggie body temps run higher than ours. I would be nervous about it and would think it might be very drying for their skin, too. I know we all think of our dogs as our children, but hot tubs can be loaded with germs and are breeding grounds for bacteria. Our pups play outside and don't shower every day and clean themselves like we do. I guess everyone has a different comfort level so I mean to offend no one, but it would bother me. |
Zoe jumped into the jacuzzi one time, although the heat wasn't turned on that high. She jumped right out as it was too hot for her taste. They say jacuzzis are full of germs though. |
I'm glad someone asked this question.. our hotel room at the yorkie fair is a jacuzzi room and although Kayah is NOT a fan of water.. she has to be wherever mommy is:rolleyes: .. my shower doubles as a tub so the bottom part is kinda high up and when she was a puppy she actually jumped in with mommy to take a bath.. imagine her surprise when she fell into water:D |
