Urgent Question... I've just got in and noticed that Gypsy has peed on her puppy pad it's a funny colour, could be that she's done a big one and the orange backing has sn through the pad but it's a kinda pinkish tint to it. Under the light it looks more pink to it... could she being coming into season at 6months and 3 weeks? I can't tell if it's blood or not and it's only a slight tint to it.... It's 1.15am and I really don't want to ring my parents and wake them up to ask them! :( |

Your best bet is to wait til morning and go to the vet that is always your safeest bet |
I don't know. It could be blood. It's hard to say. |
If it was blood is she too young to come into season (heat)? |
My maltese girl never had her first heat, so I don't know about that...But if she had blood in her urine, she could have a UTI or maybe stones...I would take her to the vet in the morning and see if they can give you more info and possibly do a urinalysis and urine culture if she does have a UTI. Praying that everything's okay with your baby! |
Sounds like it may be a urinary tract infection.... I was just looking this up for my daughter...the symptoms where smelly urine, blood in the urine, straining to pee &/or peeing a lot...hope you find the cause soon.... |
Is she swollen in her privates? She can be in heat at 6 months. look down there and tell me what you see. |
take her to the vet in the morning or if you really concerned now or if it happens again, go to a 24 hour clinic ... hope all is well. |

Other than the slight pink tint in her pee she's 100% normal... I just expected her first heat to be all swollen and her licking loads... Maybe I had an over reaction... None of us like to think our baby's ill! I'll get my mum to look at her in the morning, she's had years of experience with female Yorkies and breeding. I'd of thought if she was coming into heat then I might be able to tell more in the morning, by which point the vets will be open. The more I've thought about it, the more likely it is she's in heat... my mum's girl was sniffing about her this afternoon and she never normally does that... |

I think Gypsy's more concerned there's something wrong with me and my sudden obbession with "down there"! I've calmed down a lot now since my original post and Breny's reply to my PM helped me feel better and gave me straight forward answers and suggestions... I'm going to check her next pee, see what that's like. |
