Eating Baby food okay? Oreo has been sickly lately and only wanting to eat every like 9-10 hours, which i already know is bad. he got sick from Cloey so they are both on medication. he would eat and act playful and stuff throughout the day and at night he seemed a little lethargic, less playful, didn't even want to take nutri-cal which he LOVES... and he slept most of the day (i was at work, my boyfriend correlated it to me). he drank pedialyte (because he vomitted the day before) and wasn't eating/drinking so i gave him some, today he's doing swell.. but my question is, was it okay to give him baby food (carrots) and pedialyte? he did eat some canned canidae earlier this afternoon. |

nevermind :p i found out already it was as long as it didn't contain onion powder.. low and behold... it's ingredients.. carrots & water  :D |

I never thought of baby food. That would be a neat idea for a treat... :) |

When we got our old chihuahua she had been fed on baby food it was hell trying to get her off it and the vet was very cross as she had very weak legs due to the baby food not having the right amounts of vitamins etc in it. It took nearly a year to get her right after that. Puppy food has the right amounts of nutrition for puppies not baby food. |

I only gave it because he was not eating at the time. He's eating Great right now. I think it's okay to give as a treat though as long as it doesn't have onion powder. |

I used to mix a little in Chanel & Cheri's dry food when they were itty bitty babies - they love it and it didn't seem to cause any side effects... |

I mix some green beans ( baby food ) through their dry food at night, later on in the evening i give them the baby yoghurt with banana for desert, they love it :p |
