what dog treats do you use?
 
I want to find some treats that are healthy for my yorkie. So what treats do you use or recommend that are healthy? Right now Olivers treats are my blacklab/chowchow's food he loves them, but I would like to buy actual treats for him and stop giving him the other dogs food.

Mine love Cheerios, apples, green beans, baby carrots and Gerber fruit snacks - to name a few:)

Besides small pieces of people veggies and fruits, I buy
Wellness snack bars, and Old Mother Hubbard brand treats
and Yogart drops.

yeah i looked at the wellness bars today i was going to get them then decided not to, and decided to ask you guys first, maybe i will go back to get them.

apples (peeled and cut up), you can give a little banana, carrots, yogurt, yogurt drops, watermelon, stuff like that :)
But NO raisins or grapes, those can be dangerous...

Just to let you know, they are quite large. I was surprised at that.
Buddy is bigger so he has no problem but I can't see a real little
one trying to get it's mouth around one. They are about 1" in length
and alittle more in height.

yeah i did notice that, Oliver is pretty big to, but if i do get them ill make sure to split them in half just in case.

Mine get veggies & apples. The ONLY dog treats that I allow in the house now after the recalls is Chattiesmom's Yorkie Yummies. They are the perfect size for them and have lots of crunch. I get them from her every month.

hi, does anyone give there babys popcorn,(without the kernels) I made it last night while watching a movie, and mine were going crazy asking for some, i dont know if it was the smell or what lol,but i thought i would wait and ask you all before i gave them some:) thanks

My boys LOVE the Canidae snap biscuits. They come in chicken/Rice or Lamb/brown rice. It's a biscuit that you break off pieces to fit the size of your dog.

I also give them Daisy's Deli gourmet yogurt dipped bones for special treats. And in between they get apples, bananas and carrots.

Conner eats apples, carrots and Buddy Biscuits (Soft and Chewy) by Cloud Star. He loves them. He also gets yogurt drops.

Stella gets Butler Nutrisentials Lean Treats...available only at a vets office. Haven't tried any fruits or veggies yet.

Baby Carrots And Cottage Cheese
 
Our girls love the baby carrots cut up real small. I freeze cottage cheese, they love chewing on a cottage cheese cube, and that to them is a real treat. None is left :) The ice cubes are the regular size. In the past I had given Baby Blessing the BUDDY BISCUITS (Sweet Potatoe Madnes) Natural By Cloud Star. I used those as treats to teach her different tricks. I now just stick to the baby carrots cut up small. They are going on a diet of, "all natural home cooked foods." Amazing how they know the difference, Baby Blessing won't eat any store boughten cottage cheese unless it is from "Trader Joe's" :) Jack and I have to go along with her, it's the best ;-)
