Question About Innova
 
I am still researching some ultra premium dog foods so I was reading the ingredients in Innova dry dog food. I noticed the first ingredient is turkey. I thought it wasn't good for dogs to eat turkey. Does anyone else use this brand?

AS far as dog food goes, INNOVA is the best on the market. It cannot be beat in any way! Both my sons feed INNOVA to their large dogs. They would rather home cook, but it's too expensive for them. They do however mixreal food like tuna, salmon, meats and veggies in with the INNOVA.

I had a lot of problems with Diesel before feeding him Innova. He use to get the runs on a daily basis. After I switched him everything cleared up and he hasn't had the runs in a LONG time. I also mix his food with Artemis. He does really well on that too.

Thanks. I saw it and I am pretty confident that this food wasn't contaminated.

Not sure of your dog's age - but keep in mind that Innova is considered too high protein for puppies.

I've never heard this? I use their puppy brand...no problems. In fact, I was experimenting after the first recalls and I am back to Innova to stay now! My dogs only like this one!

Again, they have a puppy food as well and mine have been on it since I brought them home!!

My Yorkie is an adult. He will be 2 years old this May. I just bought a bag of Innova dry food. I was wondering how much should I mix in with the Natural Balance he normally eats? It's best to mix it in slowly so his stomach gets used to it right?

Just curious.. What kind of puppy food do you feed your little ones?
Innova for puppies/ Crude protein 26%
Chicken Soup for puppies / Crude Protein 28%
Merricks Puppy Plate/ Crude protein 28%
Royal Canin puppy 33 mini / crude protein 33%

These are just a few of the different kinds of foods used by YT members. Innova is actually fairly low in protein compared to some.

I did want to add that Canidae has different brands that are pretty low in protein. Some are lower than Innova. However Innova is still my favorite.

Are you talking about Innova EVO? If so I do agree the protein levels are too high for puppies in this particular formula. Innova Puppy protein levels are comparable to other super premium brands. My girl is on Innova (and Go! Natural) and she does very well on it.
