What the $%#&* are they eating? When I let Daisy and Teddy in the back yard, they constantly have their little nozes glued to the ground and bring their heads up and they are chewing something. When I look in the grass I can't find anything there. I'm sure they aren't eating grass, it's something else. Could it be bugs? Or bunny poo? I don't think it is bunny poo because I can usually see the little balls of poo. Do yorkies eat bugs? I just can't figure this out. |
Yes I do think they look for bugs and eat them which is kinda scary. Mine do the same thing and then they dig like crazy looking for something in the ground of which I am not sure of either. |
We say the Yorkies are "grazing." Mine do eat some grass occasionally, along with some bugs, I'm sure. |
They do love bunny poo and squirrel poo. |
Squirrel poo???? Oh my gosh I never even thought of that. No wonder Murfee is always around that tree:eek: |
Yap, my last yorkie used to play with slug and then try to eat it. Of course I stopped before she put it in her mouth!!!! |
They will eat geat poo too!! ugh |
They will eat goat poo too!! ugh |
LOL........seems like they will eat about anything except that expensive food you buy for them to eat. |

Maybe I should feed him the crickets they sell at Petland. There's no food recall on bugs either, so no worries. |
All sorts of critters live in the grasses and grass roots. Most dogs love eating them. Must be a carry-over from their ancestors who would hunt for insects for their protein. Just be careful that they don't eat bird droppings. |
Ewww. I'd also been wondering what Holly would eat when we went out. I thought it was bugs, but to come to think of it, there are tons of squirrels around. What's the deal with poop? I don't even know what squirrel poop looks like so I can watch for it. I don't Holly to get sick. |
