We feed royal canin here too. I have tried tried tried to switch to Canidae, only because the Royal Canin make's Chloe have really hard poops, but it is the only thing she'll eat. She won't even eat canned. It's pretty good food. |
I feed royal canin also. Seems to be good I'm not sure if it has wheat gluten in it I threw the bag away before all the food recall, they say on their web site they are ok. My miss Molly is being fed hills perscription diet because she is suppose to lose weight. I was wondering about how long the canned stays good in the fridge. She only gets a teaspoon full on her dry 2x a day, so the can takes awhile to empty. : Jackie |

Health Dog Food I feed my cocker spanial and my daughters yorkie "Life's Abundance" dog food. If you want to know what is in it go to http://www.healthypetnet.com and there will be a video to watch. It will tell you exactly what is in the food and how important it is to look at the labels of the food. Dysons Grandma |
Mine eat the Sensible Choice Natural Blend by Royal Canine. it is hard to find but it is the only hard food that all 3 of mine will eat. It is suppossed to be a good food, |

When i first got my pups, they were all fed Science Diet :thumbdown, so I switched them to Canidae. I love how it makes their coats shiny. :) |
I don't use it becuase for one it is really high in protein. I feed Diesel Innova little bites. The supply store I buy it from just got in the little bites. Man, what a difference! He really likes it better. You can use this link to compare RC to the brands that Natrua pet make. http://www.naturapet.com/tools/comparison.asp |
I was just looking again and it doesn't look like RC is even on the list. Sorry. |
Well, I have tried to get mine to eat just about every brand of quality dry food out there and they refused them all except the Royal Canin. Some they would take in their mouths then spit out, others they would just sniff at and pass. They prefer the small puppy variety but will eat the Yorkshire type. Royal Canin does not include wheat gluten, but it does have corn gluten which seems to cause problems with some dogs. I wish I could get mine on a somewhat better dry food -- preferably with no gluten at all and less protein, but they won't have it. They have never had any problems from the Royal Canin, so until I find something else they will eat I guess I'll stay with it. They don't like any canned dog food, but do like the Natural Balance rolls. |
I say if your kids are eating it, it's a good choice. I have wasted alot of money trying to find a good food that all :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork would eat. The higher the quality of food the less they liked it. They finally choose Royal Canin Yorkshire 28. They all just love it. And they all have gained weight since eating it which is a good thing. |
i think it's a wonderful choice !! i feed mines Royal Cainin & they luv it !! i feed my puppies babydog from weaning to 8 wks..then i put them on puppy royal & @ 10 mths and older i feed then the yorkie royal cainin. :p |
