Ringworm??? Jazz had a vet appt for vaccinations today, and during the overlook we noticed these white scaly patches that I swear appeared overnight. I know they were not there before because, I love to brush him. I am very familiar with ringworm contracting it several times as a child, and he's itching like crazy. I applied some topical ointment I had on hand but I am not sure if thats is safe. Could anyone suggest some things I can buy out the pharmacy?? until I can get him into the vet again:( |
If it is ringworm it is not easy to get rid of in dogs. A vet will need to see it and prescribe the appropriate medications and regime etc to get rid of it. Meanwhile, until you get it diagnosed, do not go to any dog places or touch other dogs or let him in contact with other dogs. Wash your hands often as you can get it if it is ringworm. Good luck and I really hope that it is something else and not ringworm. |
Thank you so much, he is due to get neutered thursday so that will tell me something. I was looking more closely it isnt red but its scaly....ive thought of so many things that he could have an allergic reaction to in our home. I really hope it isnt ringworm also |
