Mine love Wellness venision jerky bites......they are stinky but healthy and grain-free. :) They also like Zuke's peanut butter treats and bullysticks  |
I was wondering the same thing. What are the Best Treats for yorkies? |

The answer is subjective. Everyone feeds whatever they consider it to be the best. No one else could tell you this with certainty. I chose high quality treats with no by-products. These, for me, are the best treats for my pets. |
The same rules that apply to dog foods (i.e. no corn, byproducts, wheat, rye, barley, soy, or dairy) should also apply to your treats. Make sure you check the ingredients list and get healthy treats. Mine LOVE Solid Gold Lamb Jerky and Solid Gold Dynabones. Carrots and broccoli and fruit (NO GRAPES!) are also all good alternatives to traditional "treats." |
Mine love pupcorn, yoqurt drops and pupperoni |
Zoey loves the Canidae Snap Biscuits. :) |
Buddy loves: Nutro chicken and rice or lamb and rice sticks Wellness biscuits Old Mother Hubbard's treats Yogart drops Chicken strips /I can't remember who makes them |
Mine will go nutty for freeze dried liver chops! (Benny Bully is a company that makes them, although there are others). I cut them into tiny bits and use them for training. Tia also loves carrot sticks. I put 1 or 2 into into her kong...keeps her busy for a while, and I love knowing that both of these treats are natural and healthy. |
Teagan loves Zuke's minis...either salmon or chicken. I think they smell awful, but she does a little dance when she sees the bag. I also give her Trader Joe's chicken sticks. They do have wheat flour in them, but she really likes them and they haven't caused any problems. She also loves Waggin Train chicken jerky tenders. I get them at Walmart. Ingredient list is IDEAL: chicken breast fillet and seasoning. As far as people treats go, well, that list could stretch for miles! Besides a bite of plain meat or chicken here and there, I give her fruits and veggies (carrots, green beans, red pepper, and apple are what she loves). |
The Best Treats? Only one answer: Yorkie Yummies from Chattiesmom  My girls have tender tummies and they love the yummies:animal36 ! |
Chachi please tell me where do you find yogurt drops and what company makes them. Thanks. The favorite at my house is Pupperoni, it's like some drug for dogs. They go crazy over it..just the site of the bag sends Chase into uncontrollable fits of dancing, running and panting. We call it "puppy crack" I know it sounds crude so don't told that against me.:animal36 |
:aimeeyork :aimeeyork My girls love mother hubbard "just veggin" cookies and also the Wellness cookies (they are a little softer). I prefer to give vegeterian cookies because they get one type of protein in their food. I hear yorkies can develop food allergies pretty quickly. I also found that carrots, apples and bananas are great treats - and healthy! |
