I used to feed Hannah wellness but I changed to canidae and she likes it alot better.

Oscar eats the Fish & Sweet Potato and he loves it...he had a sore that he had for over a year...vet called it a chronic sore...put him on Wellness and the sore is gone...for months now...gone. I highly recommend it.

It's a good high quality food...I have heard of a lot of people whose dogs have done really well on wellness. The only complaint I've heard really is that some of the more finicky eaters don't like it as much.

And you know, that is the crazy thing! Oscar is SO finicky! He was on Royal Canin and I tried Innova and several other GOOD foods...he would not touch them. I got the Wellness and he loves it...and I swear, it cleared that sore right up...I am thinking he was allergic to corn or something in the Royal Canin. Now I will say, the Fish and Sweet Potato does not smell really great...just like fish really, but he loves it and he is healthy again so I am happy!!! I free feed Oscar and he has one poopy a day, so there is not a lot of waste in this food!

I agree! I have been feeding it to my Chewey for a week and his coat looks healthier! I just ordered the cranberry fields shampoo and conditioner!

That's wonderful Oscar's mom :) I agree that Wellness is an awesome food, and I'm glad you found something that your furbaby loves, and it's really, really good for him :) I haven't tried it for my furbaby, but we just started her on the Merricks Grammy's Pot pie which is another high quality food, and so far so good! I had considered Wellness, but she is so picky that I thought she wouldn't like it even though it would be good for her. Now that I hear that your baby is finicky, and he likes it, that's cool. If the Merricks doesn't work out, I'll try the Wellness, thanks!

I hear that the Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie is really good! It is all about finding a food that your yorkie loves and that is in turn good for your yorkie. They can really be picky little snots but we love em so much, we will go that extra mile to find out what works. I had three vets tell me Oscar needed surgery to "remove" the sore from his neck! I refused to let them do it and come to find out, the food change did the trick! They never mentioned that it could be a food allergy! Premium food is pricier, but there is nothing that compares to a healthy, happy yorkie! Oh and one other thing...the Royal Canin I was feeding Oscar was a really small bite...he never chewed his food. He swallowed it whole. A lot of times he would throw up and it was just unchewed kibble! The Wellness is a larger kibble and he HAS to chew it...that is an added bonus for his pretty little teeth! I also make Oscar's treats so I know what is in them. Wellness also makes treats, but he can take them or leave them...not real crazy about those.

That's so wonderful that the sore went away with the right diet :) You were a good mommy by trying to eliminate anything that could be causing it, and you made him better! Good job, and now your baby is healthy and happy :)

Where do you buy the Wellness? I haven't seen it around here.

Mine quit eating the Innova so I switched to Nutro. Now they are sick, I've seen the recall & I'm searching for a new food. I plan to buy the Innova on Monday when the feed store is open, but would like to try the Wellness, also.

I get mine at a local run pet store called Pet Supply Depot. Not sure if they have those in Texas. Go to the Wellness website and plug in your location and they can tell you where to get it in your area. The website is http://www.omhpet.com/. Wellness is a subsidiary of Old Mother Hubbard Pet Foods.

Thank you, so much!! I checked the website and there is a local pet store that carries it. Will definitely buy some on Monday. I think they are closed tomorrow.

It is so hard to find a really quality food you can trust that they will eat.

You are very welcome! I think you will really be pleased with the Wellness food and I also think your baby will like it as well! Oscar loves that stuff! I am impressed with the ingredients...they seem to be of a very good quality!

I also heard good things about this food. My neighbor has a mimi
schnauser (s) and she swears by it. I do buy Buddy the wellness
mini biscuits which he loves.

Simon and Hallie eat Wellness and have for over a year. They really like it, not that either of them are picky eaters though :) hehe

They really like the Wellness Jerky Treats too. I just break them up into little pieces!

I switched my dogs over to Wellness dry dog food six months ago. My dogs were getting a lot of upset tummies before. They love it and it made their coats real shiny. Also, since switching their poop is real easy to scoop up. You can go to their website for a listing of pet stores that sell it. They don't sell it in supermarkets. I also give them Wellness biscuits.

Oscar is free fed and he is down to one poopie a day! I think the Wellness is used up by the body and not much goes to waste (poops). He really loves the Wellness...he takes two or three bites several times a day...he is such a snacker!
