problem with our Yorkie we have had rusty since friday , he has come for a holiday to us and seems to have stopped poo-ing he poo-ed on sunday night and since then nothing. He is eating , drinking etc perfectly well. The vet says theres nothing wrong he is just upset at the change in routine:animal-pa Any answers please as i don't want him to end up poorly |
It sounds like hes constipated you could give him some canned pumpkin or olive oil |
I agree to give him some canned pumpkin. He is probably fine and just constipated from the change. |
if he isn't eating try wet food or boiled chicken... they love people food and it is better that there is something in him rather than nothing :) congrats on your new yorkie and WELCOME to YT!! |
Make sure he has all the water he needs at his disposal. Also take him for a couple of long walks. That usually stimulates them into going. |
If he is eating he must be Ok. Are you sure he is not hiding somewhere to poop, or that he isn't eating it? |
thanks Guys , we don't have canned pumpkin here in the uk but i have olive oil and afriend tells me that i could use fish oil !!!! well Rusty went tonight and isn't constipated i think its more the change in routine from his own folks and he doesn't like poo-ing in front of us lol Well at least he went today. He has plenty of water as we have 4 or 5 bowls through out the house and we do plenty of long walks too as my hubby is a dogwalker for a living !! so he gets to go too!!! Any advice is very welcome as i have never had this happen to any of our dogs |
i hope he goes again today as i am worried he may have toxins in his body. I guess its making him happy here while his owners are away, they will be back on saturday 23rd of march!!! All i want is for him to be happy and settled lol:) I have to say he is the only dog we have come here that does this, we have 3 others who come and absolutly love being away.:animal36 |
