People who feed Nutro I have a question I just started using Nutro Natural Choice for my 11 week old puppy I stared out mixing it with Nutri Source the food my breeder gave me but by long story short she ended up being fed all of the Nutri Source and now I don't have any to mix with the Nutro so she's on straight Nutro. The question is have you noticed it making your puppy's poo like a dark redish brown like almost the color of blood? |
I feed my puppies and nursing mommies Nutra Ultra Puppy food. No odd poop here. |
Are you feeding Nutro Natural Choice Puppy or Nutro Natural Choice Adult? I feed both at my house and have never had the color you describe. |
I feed Gracie the Ultra puppy. No strange poop |
I use Nutro Small Bites and I've never had that problem. |
It sounds like your baby may have coccidia. Take to vet and a stool sample for testing. |
Dah! After reading some of your replies I went back and looked at the food I had picked up and it was the Adult food so I took her to the vet today he put her on antibiotics for a bladder infection and said her bowels were probably irritated he didn't see anything in the fecal test so then I went back and bought her the puppy Nutro and also picked up a sample of chicken soup of the puppy lovers soul but she doesn't like the new Nutro, but she will eat the heck out of the chicken soup. I'm just glad she's still eating and playing! Thanks so much for all your answers!:animal36 |
Try the Nutro Ultra puppy formula. It has three types of protein and one of them is salmon,(which is from the coast of Chile and guaranteed mercury free), so it is very tasty for the pups. It has been a real asset to the growth and development of my babies and I have used it for rehabilitation of the rescue dogs I bring in. |

nope, no red colored poop with this. |
My puppy much prefers the Nutro Natural Choice Lamb and Rice over the Nutro Natural Choice Puppy. I asked my vet about it and he says if she's doing well on it it would be fine. As far as the Nutro Ultra, doesn't it have corn in it? |
