Too young for Bully Sticks Is 11 weeks too young to have a bully stick? Jersey got a hold of one of Daisy's and she's just nibbling on it. I'm right here and she is fine just nibbling on it but I want to make sure it's not too much on her little belly. |
No, I don't think so... I've heard of people hear giving them to pups and one of mine started at about that age, too with no problems. :) |
Gracie has been chewing on bully sticks or pig ears since I brought her home at 8 weeks. Just toss the stick/ear once the piece gets small enough that your baby could fit it in it's mouth. I firmly believe that providing appropriate things to chew on from day one will prevent problem chewing behaviors (furniture, walls, slippers) later on |
Loki got sick after eating one when he was about 6 months. We tried again a few months later and he was fine. He always had trouble as a pup with new things though. So if you baby has a sensitive stomach then don't risk it. If you feed her cheese and other rich treats no problem then it's probably OK. Best to get a small one and take it away after an hour and see. If no diarrhea then you're probably OK. |

Brooklyn is 10 weeks and she LOVES bullysticks. They don't make her sick, but they do keep her quite and give her something hard to chew on since she still refuses to eat her kibble lol. Quote:
