Looking for New Food
 
Bella has been itching like crazy now for months. She does not have fleas or dandruff. I am wondering if she might have a food allergy. She eats Nutro small bites lamb and rice. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any suggestions on what other food I should try?

We use Solid Gold Dry and also the canned variety. Our boy has a really silky coat and loves the food.

both of mine had the same thing. i switched to science diet and it all went away overnight

I use Science Diet (Small bites) Adult now. But it's a little too much protein for their tummies (they have sensitive stomachs) vet told me to mix in cheaper wal-mart brand... So I mix in Purina Dog Chow (Small Bites). They love it, and I haven't had any trouble with it.

My puppy has similar problem. He has dandruff too. He was on Royal Canin puppy 33 and then I switch to Innova Puppy. But then, he has developed Staph infection after 2 weeks. Now, he is on antibiotics and we have to switch to another food with ingredients that he has never tried before. The dermatologist said that we have to try different food in order to rule out if the infection is due to food allergy or not. As such, he is on Natural balance Duck & Potatoes now for a few days. Still dunno if that would enable us to find out the root of his itchiness problem. :confused:
Will update you after 8 -12 weeks.

our poor pups are SO sensitive to food... make sure you put her on a human grade food... only 100% natural.. with no chicken (you'd be surprised how many pups are allergic to chicken!) no wheat or corn.. layla's skin in a MESS!! we just switched to Fromms but i know that Canidae and Wellness are GREAT foods... you can try adding Omega 3 oils to her diet (open a fish oil capsule on some wet food for her) we've come to the end of our rope with the dry skin.. and Kathryn_V sells a shampo that everyone on here just RAVES about so we just ordered some tongiht :) good luck!
