Canidae All Life Stages It's time for our 3 month food rotation (right now we're using Chicken Soup) and I'm thinking of switching to Canidae All Life Stages. Does anyone use it? How does your dog like it? Any allergies or reactions? It looks like a really great food but I'd like to hear some feed back from people who actually feed it to their dogs. http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com/dog_f...ct=528&cat=all |

I feed Buddy Natural Balance Organic and see many YT'ers use Canidae. I had a bag in my hand and put it back and purchased the Natural Balance. He's doing great on it and the difference in the contents were minimal. I am a little leary of switching for fear of problems. Canidae does gets great reviews on here. Carol & Buddy |

bored with his food. I am so afraid to switch for fear of Buddy getting sick again with diahrea! I really want to try the Canidae also. Thanks for letting me know this. Carol & Buddy |
I use both the canned and dry Canidae All Life Stages. My dogs love the canned and tolerate the dry. The dry they liked best was Diamond Small Breed Puppy. They loved that stuff like candy and it is so good for them. So, I will probably go back to that. I order the Canidae from petfooddirect.com and they do not carry the Diamond Small Breed Puppy and it is not an all life stages food. Since I have 4 from puppy to senior, I thought I would try getting them on all Canidae products. They will eat it and I know it is good for them but they don't seem to be hitting the dry food as heavy as they were before. It is the only canned that they will eat. |

In my opinion, Canidae All Life Stages is the best dog food on the market. It does not contain any of the "problem" ingredients (gleutens [wheat, rye, barley], soy, dairy, beef, corn, artificial preservatives and colors) associated with allergies and other health problems that dogs experience. All three of my dogs are on it and are thriving. I no longer mix or rotate foods bc no other food will ever live up to Canidae, in my opinion. We all know the basics on dog foods, like no corn or by-products, but canine nutrition goes further than that. For an in-depth eye-opener on how your dogs' diet affects their health, read this...As you will see, this vet has done EXTENSIVE research on the areas of pet (and human) nutrition. He refers to Canidae as the "Cadillac" of dog foods: http://dogtorj.tripod.com/id5.html I emailed him and asked him about Hobbs' dandruff and he told me to rest assured that it was not caused by this food that I was feeding him. He told me to elminate treats that contain problem ingredients and also eliminate table scraps, as this was likely the source. |

I recently switched my two from Merrick's to Canidae. I usually rotate every 4-6 months. I bought a bag of All Life Stages, and a bag of Lamb/Rice. Baxter eats basically everything with gusto, so he's no problem. Snickers is more fussy and I notice he prefers the Lamb/Rice. He needs to be coaxed to eat the ALS. There were a couple of gurgly tummies the first few days they were on it completely, but that has since disappeared. I did notice that their poop is less smelly and they seem to go less often. Hope this helps. :) |

If you are as interested in canine nutrition as I am, check out his website. It is truly fascinating. It is also interesting how the foods we eat affect our health. But, for some odd reason, I am more fascinated about my furbabies health. :p :p :p |
Canidae All Life Stages Our vet suggested we try it after the last litter of puppies left and we were switching back to adult food. Sunnie needed to loose 1/2 lb and Rocky needed to add a little weight. It has worked great so far. We've been using it since January and are 3/4 through a 20 lb bag. That's 3 adult Yorkies free feeding. |
I use Canidae and Felidae for my dogs and cat..........they love it! |
where do you buy canidae dog food..,, ?? |

I feed Rommie Canidae. He really seems to like it considering he is a very picky eater. I have thought of rotating his dry food, but I agree...Canidae seems to be the best on the market. (from my research) |
