I also got a case today. All 3 of mine loved the chicken drummetts dinner but I smushed the bones really well before I would give it to them. Im looking foward to seeing how they like the ones without bones, cause I would rather they not have the ones with bones.

OK, I haven't opened that one yet...explain it to me. Is it like wing drummets--cooked? with hard bones?

It is like wing drummetts with bones, however the bones are so soft you can literally smash them with a fork or spoon. They say they are cooked in a special pressure cooker which makes the bones soft and edible. All 3 of mine loved the food but I personally prefer not to give that one to them again, since it clearly states on the can "Not intended for small dogs". I would rather be safe then sorry, and they have alot of other foods they will like im sure.

You can pull the bones out too.;) :)

Yes pulling the bones out is always an option. I did this with the bigger bones.

Yes, you are correct. It does say "not intended for small dogs" and that's b/c of the bones. Most pet owners don't smash up their dog's food like we paranoid Yorkie owners do! LOLOL

If you're not happy with the bones, you can take them right out. The meat falls right off the bone. :p

Baby has been eating Evangers for about a year now, and she absolutely loves it!

Mine have never been so excited to eat dog food. They usually only go this nuts when I dice up green apples for them.

OK, so I tried the drummets and I smooshed up the bones. She ate a little of it, but she didn't go crazy for it. It looked pretty good, though!

We got our sample box today---a case of the canned dog and a case of the canned cat foods as well as a small dog kibble bag!

Milo loves the cat food equally as well.:rolleyes:

All those events are bad news for dogs. The long and the short of it is?Don't feed cooked bones. They are unnatural and a danger to dogs."

Just thought you guys should know.
They're talking about HOME cooked bones. Their foods are pressure cooked, which completely softens the bone, making it no harder than the meat. The bones are mushy, you can smash them with your fingers. Just thought you should know;)

i know this is a very old post; does anyone still feed their dog evangers food. if so are their food safe despite all the articles out there and how are the dogs doing on the food. anyone here tried the classic chicken and rice canned. i want to try this bland diet for my ibd dog. any feedback is greatly appreciated. thanks
