Mighty Dog Canned Food Do any of you feed your puppies this? http://www.mightydog.com/products/te...pid=28&prid=12 It says on the can that it provides 100% daily nutrition for dogs and puppies. I have also been told to look at the first four ingredients - that is what most of the food is comprised of. These are the first real ingredients: "BEEF, WATER SUFFICIENT FOR PROCESSING, MEAT BY-PRODUCTS, LIVER, CHICKEN, GROUND RICE," the rest all looks like vitamins and nutrient type things. I am wondering if any of your have had any experience with this food? Thanks for your help! :) |
No but i used to love the commercial they had of the lil white dog with the cape.:) |

Anything that has meat biproducts in it is not good. The biproducts are things like beaks, organs, and other non nutitional parts of an animal. None of the foods you get at the grocery store are good. You can find a small amount of foods that are good at Petsmart but you usually have to go to a specialty petstore like Pet Supply Plus or order online. Foods with natural organic ingredients are the best |
HI. I use it all the time to train puppies to go to solid foods. They love it and makes my job easy! They go to town on it! I use it only to get to the eating dry food all together point. I dont regularly feed canned because its bad for their teeth. But I do give it to my adult dogs as a treat sometimes. To them its like a big fat juicy steak! |

Well, Summerlin is only 10 weeks old now, and whenever she eats dry food, she seems to have a hard time going poo. You can tell that she is straining and she makes this funny crying noise, that sounds almost like a baby sounds when it whimpers. I have tried a few canned foods to try to get her to eat, but she eats very little and turns her nose up at most. She seems to like science diet for puppies the best, but she only eats about a tablespoon or so twice a day - hardly anything. I have never had a dog this small, only 2 lbs, and I am kind of unsure how to proceed. I have been giving her the nutrical to make sure she doesn't get hypoglycemia or whatever, and to give her energy. Should I try mixing the wet food with the dry to help her out or is she still too young for dry food at all? |
what dry food are you feeding ? im sure if you bought a better food she would eat it she is Not to young for hard food |

At some Petsmarts you can find Nutro and Natural balance meat rolls and those are both good. I get mine Royal Canin at petsmart. It is a good food but it does have corn in it. Merricks is a vey good food if you see it also |
i feed nutro natural choice and natural balance its the food thats making her itchy & just because a dog will eat it doesnt mean they should :D |
