I?m desperate for Jaffar!!!!! Hi! My precious baby is 13 years old; last week the vet told me that he was having some problems with his heart and lungs, so he treated him with diuretics and some other drugs. A couple of days ago, he started to get worse, until he could not get up. Now the vet said that his kidneys have failed, because of the drugs he gave him, and that we have to wait to see if he can save at least one of them, but that he has never seen a dog who could live like that. If anyone could help with some information, is it possible for my baby to survive in this conditions, or he would just be suffering ??? |
Sweetie, you need to prepare yourself. This is never easy. It sounds like your angel has had a long, wonderful life, but that may be coming to an end. Our hearts break for you, but the time will come when you'll have to let go. Your baby will love you for not letting it suffer. My prayers go out to you and your family. You just never know what God has in store. If your baby is meant to get well, it will happen. Hugs to you. |
My mother in law had a poodle with kidney failure that had twice weekly dialysis treatments. She loved Missy so very much that she just could not let her go. Missy was in a lot of pain those last few years and towards the end started having severe seizures. Your baby will tell you when it is time to let go. Listen with your brain and your heart. I want to send you hugs :ghug:. I know you hurt beyond all hurting. Listen to your heart and to your precious little one. The time may be near that you will have to ease him over to those painfree, carefree green pastures at the edge of the Rainbow Bridge. |
i'm sorry to hear the not so hopeful prognosis for Jaffar. Kidney disease is a rough things to go thru, and i'm sure it didn't just happen within the past week on the meds the vet gave him, its very unlikely, so please don't think badly of him. My advice is to give jaffar anything adn everything he can possibly want and spend great quality time with him until he lets you know its time to pass over that bridge. |
My heart is breaking for you and your baby. I'm so sorry that he is so sick. Sounds like Jaffar has had along happy life with someone who loves him, so remember to have his best interests in mind when you have to make the hard decisions (as hard as this can be). I wish you well and hope that what ever happens you and your baby come out the otherside at peace. I will pray for you & Jaffar. |
