My Jilly's Tail Doesn't Wag...Why? My little Jilly Bean's tail does not wag. Can anyone explain why? |
Sorry, not a clue! Your babies are all so pretty though:D |
My Cooper's tail doesn't wag either  Carley's will wag like crazy, not the Coopsters. I have always wondered why too. |
I was told one time that some yorkies never "learn" to wag their tails. Also some never actually learn to bark! Unfortunately mine have the barking down without problems. Both Lily and Gracie wag their tails and Lily is 12 weeks and Gracie is 2 years. I was never given a reason specifically why they never do! |
Hmmmm! Pinky wags her tail and Princeton does not... That is a great question. |
I've noticed that the more energetic little ones wag their tail more. Zoe is a calm dog and although her tail is always up, only wags when in a super excited state. Jennie |

Jilly surely learned to bark. I would rather she learned to wag her tail. I may post this question in the general section to see if we can get some input. Looks like I'm not alone in wanting to find out if there is a reason. |
Chloe's doesn't wag all the time, but it does when she's playing. Such as, when she's on the floor, butt in the air, head and front paws on the floor, with a ball in her mouth. She'll wag that tail. I think that is the dynamo to power her little toy growl LOL. |
My cat was run over (by me unfortunately) many years ago and lost the use of his tail for 6 months it just dragged along the floor, as this is the only animal i have known not to have use of their tail i just presumed animals only lost the use after a trauma. So this is a new one to me, i have never heard of a dog who couldnt wag their tail! |
wow!! never heard of that... sorry i cant help you cause lexi's tail wags like a fast wind shield wiper.. |
Queequeg doesn't wag her tail rather she wiggles it. It's very hard to see unless your looking for it. I don't think she would have known how to bark either if it had not been for my older girls. She didn't start until she heard them start barking. |
funny, I saw a Dog Whisper episode similar to this where the tail would constantly be tucked between the leg when outdoors in loud places. Cesar gently pulled the tail up, massaged it, and encourage it up. We did that when Zoe's tail was down (not tucked b/t legs though) and gently massaged and said 'good girl' and funny, she is getting her tail up SOOOOO much more. My husband and I see a huge improvement. BUt she does have a tendency to give us a 'what the hell are you doing look' or puts her butt down when we touch her tail. Has anyone else seen this episode and give a better account of what Cesar did? |
