How old is your yorkie? I'm guessing if she is about to get spayed, then she is around 6 months old. If this is correct, then her breath stinks because she is TEETHING! Don't worry, the bad breath will go away in a month of so when she stops teething, around 7 months of age. The PetzLife products will help, but don't be alarmed if the halitosis doesn't go away right away...she is teething and the bad breath is to be expected. |

Her breath smells so bad that at first I kept checking her hinney because I thought it was poop. So...I am desprately hoping that the PetzLife will work. |

There are a few threads on here about putting apple cider vinegar (organic) in their drinking water. I started doing that a few months ago with Tatum and I think I can tell a difference. Do a search on it and see if you can find it.... there was one really good thread on it that said how much to put in the water and I printed it out to keep at home. I think it's like a tsp or tbsp per quart of water - maybe whoever originally posted that can set me straight. I just put a pitcher of water with the vinegar in it in the fridge and refill her bowl from the pitcher. But I can't remember exactly how much to use. That's why I have it printed out at home! |

I have that stuff and I noticed that they aren't all that happy to drink the water when it's in there. Plus they seem to get a bit of the runs when they do. Lex had the same problem. A month ago when he got neutered I have his teeth cleaned and now on his sunday spa day I force him to let me brush his teeth. I don't want to have him go under again for a cleaning. Good luck. I know what you are talking about with that breath. Lulu is another story but I am starting to force her little butt as well to let me brush her. Cleanings are not cheap. |

Yeah, I was worried that Tatum wouldn't want to drink her water with the vinegar in it but we haven't had any problems with it at all, thank goodness. And I really think I can tell a difference. |
