Nutrical Question
 
Okay....here I go again. Question number one thousand one hundred and thirty two::D

When you give Nutrical, does it taste good to them and do they just lick it off the spoon, or what? I got some medicine today from the vet for Sassy's diarreah and that was a nightmare to give. (half a dropper that she DID NOT want!!) What a struggle...and I have to give it to her three times a day.:eek:

Anyway, He gave me the Nutrical because I told him how she has been lately with her food and hardly eating at all. His advice was to wait her out for at least a day to two. (very difficult!!) so he gave me some Nutrical and said give it to her if she seems to be getting lethargic. I totally forgot to ask about what I am now asking you all. Please, please, please, tell me she will love it and just lick it off the spoon.

Yes, she will absolutely love it. It's like candy to them. I usually put a little on my finger, and they can't eat it fast enough. Follow the directions because it is real high in calories. Good luck.

Mine love it!! I don't give it to them reguarly but when there is a day where they are not eating as well I give it to them. I just put some of my finger and they lick it right up. In fact, over time the learned to recognize the tube it comes in so that everytime they see it they get excited because to them it is a real treat to have.

Well, when Hobbs was little, he didn't like the stuff and would not voluntarily lick it off my finger. I had to pry his mouth open and whipe it on the roof of his mouth. Now I use this technique to give him his PetzLife for Teeth Gel.

It's beef flavored and I haven't see a puppy or dog that didn't lap it right up and want more. Just give about a dime size two or three times a day.

I finally got her to take some. She wasn't sure at first because she was too suspicious. After giving her the medicine for the bowels, (which saying she doesn't like is a gross understatement :eek:) she finally came to me to try it....... forward, sideways and belly sneaking at first. It was pretty funny. Then she backed up pretty far away and around a corner....giving me some high pitched yips. I had to go get her and stick it under her nose before she would give in. Now she likes it and will come (alabiet suspiciously).:)

that's great she liked it Peeka has always hated it he would never eat it now Daisy my girl i just got couldn't eat it fast enough but she doesn't like it now i think they get bored with it sometimes to.
