Hair loss aorund nose Google's been in good health and I've had him checked by the vet a couple of times for this. Right now the vet has him on fish oil supplements, but so far it's doing no good. Google's got a patch of hair loss around his nose, that is almost 1/8th of an inch past the black part of his nose. When I look at him, it appears that the hair loss is exactly where his tongue reaches when he licks his mouth after eating or drinking; and no matter what I do, the hair keeps coming off! Help! What could cause this problem? Has anyone else experienced this with their babies? |
Hair loss My Bailey had the same problem until we took away the latex toys that come dusted with that powder. |
hmm. we don't have any of those toys, but maybe I should look around and see what's new around the house that he's been playing with? He's got the same old toys, but this started around Christmas. I gotta think now. It may be an allergy? He had a plastic food dish which I replaced with ceramic when it first started. |
My dog Lucy experienced this same problem when she went into her first heat cycle. I took her to the vet and found out she had demodectic (?) mange. They said hair loss on the nose is the first sign. She had bad bloodlines and it was passed down that way. It is not contagious. I am not saying that is what your baby has. Lucy kept itching constantly and got a bald spot on her side. It was expensive to treat. Hopefully it is an allergy. Just thought I would let you know what I experienced. |
