Is Nina in heat??? Help!!! Please, help!! I've noticed Nina :aimeeyork cleaning herself and when she laid in bed, I've noticed blood in her parts. Do you think Nina is in heat?? She's only 7 months, though. How long should it last? How often does it happen? What do I do?? Help!! |
Yes, I imagine she is in heat if there is blood and she will lick herself down there to clean herself up. I think bellas first heat was at 11 months, she just recently had her 2nd. I think the bleeding last about 2 weeks and then they are still in heat and swollen another week. I am sure somebody else on here could tell you more. The blood does end up getting messy so i would recommend a doggie diaper you could order on drsfoster and smith. and definately keep her away from any males, they will go nuts!!! keep an eye on her if you take her out potty, wouldnt just let her out alone. |
Thanks a lot. I've also noticed that she's pretty quiet and she looks very sad. Is there anything I can do to cheer her up? |
probably in heat that is kind of young for her to go into to heat- but all dogs are different! most likely she is in heat. the spotting will last for a little while then when she stops bleeding, that is when you need to keep an eye on her if she has access to other male dogs, because that is the time that she will be most "attractive" to them. i cannot ever remember my girls acting depressed during a heat cycle, but hey- they're all different! if the spotting becomes a problem check out the doggy diapers. My dogs spot, but luckily I have tile floors and I can just wipe it up, careful w/ furniture though if she jumps on couches and chairs. |
Gucci's first heat was at 9 months(last month) and she slept a lot. I think it lasted around 3 weeks. |
Same subject, different sex?? My 7 month old male has his way with a couple of his toys, and to put it delicately (makes them wet). Is this normal, how old are males usually when they reach puberty???????? |
