Hungry Okay so I left Miso with a friend for 2 days and when I went to pick him up she tells me that he literally goes nuts whenever he is near food or given food. I mean I know he goes slightly crazy and starts running to the bowl but now if he even sees the bag he starts barking and this dog rarely ever barks. My friend said it may be hunger pains but I think he got fed more than enough at her house. what do you think is happening here? |
toby acts like he hasnt been fed in months everytime i put out his dog food....... he is an only dog, so there is no food competition, but he STILL wolfs the food down like there wont be any more for weeks. .... im a little lost too, i was worried he wasnt getting enough, but i give him more than a cup a day |
Schatzie's a chow hound too! Goes nut's and does a little Yorkie dance everytime it's snack time. All I have to say is "Schatzie ya hungry?" and she jumps and dance. Some dogs (as humans) I think just enjoy eating and like food, makes us happy! :D |
Hungry Boy, I wish my Penny was like that about her food. Turns her nose up at everything I put down for her. Dont know what more I can do. |

I can tell you waht not to do...and that's not to give Miso your food...we did that with Jerry when we first got him. we finally got him straightened out. We do make him homemade stuff sometimes, but never ever our food again. Michael |
Hand Feeding Skinny Dogs Quote:
I have threatened everyone in my family not to feed Mya people food. It is so nice that I can even be eating in bed with her head on my shoulder and she will not beg, whine or try to take the food. Years ago one of my foster dogs jumped up on our dining room table and took the entire top layer (perfectly removed, mind you) off of my daughter's birthday cake. I was sure it was the kids because it was so neatly done. I then saw the dog licking frosting off her chin. hahahaha |
