Nature's Variety Raw diet? I was just looking over their site and it looks pretty good but...the frozen raw diet says it contains bones. Does anyone feed their frozen diet? If so, how are the bones digested or tolerated? Are they big pieces or ground up so they don't get lodged in their system? |
Somebody? Anybody? |
I've read recently that as long as the bones aren't cooked, they can be ground up by the dog's teeth. I haven't had any experience with a raw diet or with this dog food though. |
The bones are broken up into pieces... Usually they're quite small. The largest I'd found so far was probably about the size of pinto bean. |
I've been using this for months and you can't even see the bones, they're so finely ground. It just looks like raw hamburger or something. My dogs absolutely LOVE it. They get that for supper and their kibble in the morning. If it is still available, go to www.naturesvariety.com there is a "try it" you can click on and get coupons for buy one get one free - the frozen medallions or the kibble. If you keep printing a few off, you can get a few of them.... :D omega |
Thank you. I'll check out their site and see if the 'try it' button is still there. There are several stores and dealers in my area so it shouldn't be too hard to find. |
