Have two dogs on different foods how to get them on the same? So I have a 9 month old Cocker Spaniel who is eating Innova Puppy and loves it he is doing great too. I just got my new yorkie puppy he is 12 weeks old and he is on Royal Canine. Now my question is should I transfer him over slowly to my Cockers food? Or Vice versa? My Yorkie seems more interested in the Innova Puppy because he has gotten a few tastes of it and he actually seems to like it better than the Royal Canine? I already know how to change over the to a new food just want opinions on when I should and if the Innova is good for Yorkies? Thank you soo much! |
Oh yes, Innova is an EXCELLENT food for yorkies and is actually better than Royal Canine bc it has no corn or wheat products like the Royal Canine does. If you want them both on the same food and your yorkie likes the Innova, I say switch over to the Innova. I guess you already know to do it gradually so she doesn't get a tummy ache, right? |
Yep, I just decided I would slowly transfer him over to the Innova because he seems to like it better so I am just adding a little of Innova to his current food and will gradually increase the amount of Innova! Get this though, he will dig in his bowl to get the Innova out to where all that is left is the Royal Canine. That tells me he loves the Innova :) My problem now is that my Cocker has gotten into the Royal Canine some and he has the worst tummy ache, I feel soo bad for him! |
